Horimiya First Impression and Review
Horimiya is a romcom, slice of life anime. It covers the story about Hori and Miyamura, thus the name Horimiya.

Summary of first episode

Kyouko Hori, Hori is a beautiful, cute and smart girl popular in school. Although very popular she does not socialize very much with others. Due to her popularity and as she does not hang around with her friends more, they think that she does have boyfriend. Far from truth, Hori has responsibility of looking after her brother and do the housework leaving no chance to socialize and other things.

Izumi Miyamura, Miyamura is an unpopular guy in school. Often seen as gloomy otaku boy, he has no friends whatsoever. Due to his personality in school, he is seen as a otaku boy like who idolizes 'moe' figures and all. Much to the shock, he is nothing like that outside the school, in real life. He is a just gentle boy, poor in study with ten piercings and tatoo over his body.

One day, Hori and Miyamura cross paths outside of school, very different than how they look on school. The two who are polar opposites of each other become friends, sharing each others secret which other than them no one in the school knows.

Review and Impression

The story starts with showing about Hori, who is popular and Miyamura who is total opposite. As their initially shown character, it was exciting to know how the story continues. Much to the excitement, they both have their own self what they actually pretend or have in school. They both find out their secrets and starts to hang out together sharing each others secret.

Looking at the plot, actually it's actually quite simple. I think that's the reason what it makes it nice. Just normal meetings and sharing secrets. Like you can relate as well, if you have a secret which you can't tell anyone and you have someone to share your secret to, you can talk about with the person about it, (off course the person must be reliable) without caring. It feels much better than keeping secret to yourself. In the story, Miyamura and Hori both trust each other as they are part of their secrets and both could rely on each other. And the part where Hori and Miyamura says they dont want others to know their secret, isn't it romantic? Though it may not be much for now, but in future I hope it will be interesting to watch.

And there is comedy stuffs, it's the thing that makes it craving for next episode aside from the romance and story stuffs. It actually make it so compelling to read manga but as many had suggested anime is as awesome as manga, I have actually contained myself to wait for the anime episodes. There is not much to discuss in the first episode but it's enough to crave you for the next episode.
