Jujutsu Kaisen, a manga and an anime series with the concept of Cursed Energy around which the whole series' plot revolves around at least for the powers.
It's manga was quite popular but since the anime premiered in October 2020, it has got the new hype. Mostly fans also compare it to the famous series Naruto due to some characters being similar to the characters from Naruto and how there are main trio character and similar things.
How comparable is it to Naruto?
Gege Akutami, the creator, of Jujutsu Kaisen has revealed that he was influenced by the artworks of Naruto. The resemblance of Gojou Satoru with Kakashi, it really makes it nostalgic. Akutami also said that, message of Jujutsu Kaisen is that nobody has the absolute truth, not the 'good guys' nor the 'bad guys'. If nobody is right, nobody is wrong either. Thinking about this message by Akutami, we again feel we have heard and felt this somewhere.
Offcourse, Naruto! Whether it was intentional, indirect influence of Naruto on the creator, Naruto has the similar storyline. In the series Naruto, almost all of the characters that were in the negative role or as a villain had their own story. They had their own truth and ideals. From their stand, they were not wrong, and watching from the perspective of the people whom they made suffer, they were not right either.

Furthermore, Akutami also revealed his introduction of Mahito in the series was like Thanos in Marvel 's Avengers: Endgame as he never felt hatred for him.
Despite all the similarities (though there are so much shounen series for a new shounen series to have a unique storyline on their own), Jujutsu Kaisen has somewhat a unique plot like settings, super powers, with nostalgic vibes that we want from a shounen series. It's even said to compete (some say higher) with the popular Demon Slayer series.
Final Words
Apart from similarities to Naruto, Akutami has revealed that Neon Genesis Evangelion, Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter, World Trigger, Eyeshield 21, One Punch Man, Bleach and other works where the creator worked for, also had some influence in his works.
Jujutsu Kaisen, without dispute, is the anime that will take up the top position in popularity charts for a longer time as per the statistics collected from fans. Thank you for staying till the end! If you have any comments or anything you want to share you can share in the comments below.
