NieR: Automata, a 2017 action role-playing game(RPG), developed by PlatinumGames and produced by Square Enix is finally getting an anime adaptation. It was announced during the live broadcast on the game's 5th anniversary. From the video games that are being adapted into the anime, some of them including, The World Ends With You, released in 2021, but NieR: Automata is the one to be most excited about.

 

The story takes place in the year 11945 AD which is focused on a proxy conflict between the human-made androids and the machine army invaders from another world. Having neither feelings nor actual names, androids have distinct attitudes that set androids apart from their peer.

 

Anime Release Date

 

Aniplex announced during a live event that the NieR: Automata anime will premiere on January 2023 as a part of the Winter 2023 anime. A trailer and teaser visual for the anime NieR: Automata were also released with the announcement.
